A Little About Me
When I Started Working Out
I started working out in college as a release from such a hectic busy life. I was putting myself through school and working full time while trying to take care of myself. Working out was my way to get away from it all. And it's paid off!How I Started
I loved reading workout mags on my downtime and with a friend who taught me the fundamentals, I started going faithfully to a local gym.Why I Love It
It puts my mind at ease, soothes my soul, makes me feel like I can achieve "ANYTHING"!!How I Stay Motivated
Thinking of my age! ooohh...boy does that keep me MOTIVATED~!My Worst Injury
I have to thank the Lord for not having any injuries.

Healthy Foods
As of late, I've adjusted my diet to eat more healthy meals and have lessened, if not practically eliminated pre processed foods. When possible, I eat organic. I also have limited my intake of red meat, portioned to only 1 or 2 meals a week of free range and/or grass fed cattle. I've relied heavily on lots and lots of veggies and fruits (organic of course) and wild caught salmon and tilapia. If chicken is on my menu, I go for fresh pastured cageless birds. Soo...a few favs....hummus, brown rice, canned wild caught salmon with egg whites and tomatoes, organic wallaby yogurt, amy's pizza pockets ( i know, pre processed but its a quick fix and satisfies my pizza craving), turkey chili, turkey meatloaf!! I also drink at least minimum 4 cups of green tea a day...gotta have my ECGC!!
Not So Healthy Foods
Is this space big enough? LOL...seriously. Probably pizza...pizza...and pizza and a pazookie from BJ's Brewery..and a Root Beer Float for A&W...Popeye's Spicy Chicken, Fish & Chips, Corn Dogs, Shrimp Tempura...the list goes on and on. But that's "IF" I fall off the wagon, which usually doesn't happen too often, well...unless LTBC wants to come out of retirement! ;o) Oh a few more..Junior Mints, Ice Cream, and Dark Chocolate!
Supplements
Hobbies
Magazines
Oxygen, In Style, Lucky, People...pretty much anything that can keep me on a cardio machine long enough!
Books
The South Beach Diet, The New York Diet, The 5 Factor Diet, Atkins Diet, The Zone, Skinny Bitch (as you can see, nutrition is very important to me), The Secret, The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns, Atonement, all of the Harry Potter Novels, Eclipse, The Road to name a few.
Workout Music
I'm pretty layed back. Lately I've been listening to Brother IZ which many would say isn't enough "umph" to get someone going in the gym. But for me, it works wonders!! I also listen to Japanese on my IPOD. If there's any time for me to learn, I will definitely take advantage of it..especially during CARDIO!
