Lately I have been waking up every two to three hours. I don't wake because of extreme hunger, or that I have to use the restroom, I just wake up. I get up walk around a bit, and lay back down and fall asleep. I wish I could get a full nights sleep. I have just started to take Melatonin, but that does not seem to work the last few days. Any ideas anyone ?

It could be overtraining.
It could be overtraining. Overtraining can cause you a lot of problems in your attitude and in your sleep patterns. I think its because our body thinks that we must be in some kind of danger if we are pushing ourselves that hard (like back in cave-man days).
On the other hand, if you don't think you are over training then maybe you should do more cardio to tire yourself out.

haha. i dont know about this but im a "go-getter" type of lifestyle. i always have to b productive or i just feel awkward/weird. my mind is always racing and i ahve a hard time sleeping too. however, no matter what time of day, hahahah, reading puts me to sleep. this isnt good with school cause i have to read so much literature, lol. its like im focused on reading and my mind wants to sleep
so that's my tip.
now i need another one, how do you prevent that??? haha

and i used to tape my notes and play them while I slept and ace tests everytime.....works!
I have always been a very light sleeper. Kenny could go to sleep anywhere, and in no time at all....me ...i can't get my mind to SHUT UP! HA

I have a hard time sleeping
I have a hard time sleeping sometimes. i could be laying in bed trying to fall asleep from 12am and still be there at 7am.
What i normaly do is just get up and not sleep at all, untill the following night. By that time i should be shattered from 24 hours with no sleep. So i get to bed early that night.
It's normaly becuase they body clock is messed up and that normally fixes it for me.
Melatonin does work...
I have to workout at night where I will sleep better. I avg about 4-5 hours a night ...maybe...
limit your simple carbs at night and caffeine....and try to empty your mind...by reading or meditating.
I am not a lot of help on this subject..I sleep best between 5 and 10 a.m. ha ha
take care, and if it becomes a problem, may wanna speak to your doctor and get something to help...non addictive though like ambiem...I would take anything though if you can help it.
