Ambitious VS Driven - which one are you?
Before I read an article recently, I thought the 2 were the same.
After, I've realized that the two (ambitious and driven) are so much more different than I thought. I learned that being DRIVEN, is to simply push and charge forward. Keeping focused on a certain goal, with blinders on and sometimes compromising other things of importance in your life - because you are so driven. I've learned that this is the type of person I would become when preparing for a competition. Between a meticulous diet that was timed and portioned, workouts and cardio; my life and the lives of the people close to me (for that 3-4 month period) revolved around my competition prep schedule. I had begun to compromise the quality of my relationships because I am so DRIVEN and thankfully, the ones who truly love me, understood and didn't take it personal. Ultimately, competing was just a hobby and after 5 years, is a chapter in my life I am ready to close.
The big picture, my AMBITION, was to use my experience as a competitive athlete and serve as a living example that one can compete in the bodybuilding industry, drug-free and naturally. It may have taken me longer to achieve the results, but I did it and am proof that it can be done. I want to continue to share my knowledge, my passion and my experience with those who want to improve the quality of thier lives through exercise and diet.
It is my AMBITION to maintain a balance between a healthy and active lifestyle, continue to inspire and motivate and make a positive impact in the lives of others. Have a wonderful and safe Labor Day Weekend MFT! And if you haven't already, please visit my website and sign up: www.goteammo.com :)
Be blessed and bless others,
